Eco Sewing
TAV Creations has long had the opportunities to engage in "eco-sewing". Termed "renovations" in my head, I have often been brought existing garments and remade them into totally new piece.
From silk beaded dresses transforming into belly dance costumes, to bridesmaid dresses finding new life as two piece outfits, there are so many ways to re-use those beautiful garments that are hanging in the closet.
Does mom really want to have you wear her wedding dress, but you are not the same size, or desirous of the exact style she wore? Let's work together to bring new life to that dress and incorporate it into your new idea for your wedding day!
Have you lost weight, and have a closet full of quality pieces that you are not ready to let go of? While generous and altruistic to donate your clothes to womens' shelters and other re-selling operations, sometimes you just want to keep that classic piece for yourself.
TAV Creations has the knowledge and ability to re-size garments in most situations. While not always an inexpensive proposition, it usually reflects a smaller investment to re-size a quality garment, than to purchase a new one.
While the main reason clients come to TAV Creations is to have a new idea brought to life, reducing, re-using and recycling are a welcome approach to bringing your dream garments to life.
