DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY FUNDRAISER

Our next party is very different. It will be an 'open stage' or 'impromptu' show. Everyone is welcome to dance!
If you want to perform, bring your CD, a belt, and let it rip! The DJ will happily spin your song and the moves are all up to you.
When the floor opens up...we all get to dance.
But there's more....some wonderful professional dancers are coming to town that weekend and have enthusiastically agreed to perform for us and add to the overall joy of the night.
Nathalie Lebel who will be presenting a workshop on the 14th and 15th will be dancing for us.
Lunette Harper from British Columbia will be performing a Turkish Roma piece.
Kelly Enston is coming in from Toronto (hopefully with her troop) to show us their moves.
Google these wonderful dancers....I think you will agree that we have a great evening ahead of us!!
It will be at the Legion Hall at the corner of Kent and MacLaren....very central, the room will seat 150 people, has a big dance floor, and the bar stays open until 1 am!!!
There will be a late-night buffet of mid-East snacks. It will be a great way to pretend that we live in a warmer, sultrier climate!
The party will still be a fundraiser for Kids Help Phone, Distress Centre, Bereaved Families....and very serious of course!!!....but I felt it was time for a bit of a shake-up. We haven't 'kicked up' our heels for a long while..and our partners might enjoy it too!
Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Party starts at 8 pm and goes 'till we drop!
Great door prize is a beautiful hand-made Egyptian dance belt courtesy of Oasis Studio.
Raffle prizes include a one night stay at the Ottawa Westin and breakfast for 2 at Daly's; a 2 night stay at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto; many theatre tickets; another beautiful dance belt; restaurant gift certificates; and miscellaneous prizes from various shops around town.
